Rapid Waters

The Narrows, tiptoeing through mild steady currents. Rocks and boulders placed ingeniously, extravagantly, through the sound paved walkways.

Each step I take abrasive, cautious towards a endless, never ending goal. Patches of serene glassy moments, draw a tranquil form around my being.

Casual remarks composed in Your symphony, waterlogged branches floating as the wand of tempo conducts life's pace.

In this moment, looking around, serenity fills the wall caverns of my honeycombed soul. Waterfalls of joy and righteousness pour out from the rocky slab establishment.

Presently, eyelids flutter peacefully as the warmth and light wrap around me. Enchanted pearls of promises lay around my feet, buoyant to string and wear, to keep close to my heart.

Quiet, soft spoken whispers, as low as a train two cities over. Beckon for me to walk, leave the stableness and comfort of the warm rock planted firmly beneath my feet.

Trust.
Move.
Believe.
Run.

Dampened butterfly winged voices, quarrel over my shoulders for my mind. Pros and contrasted thoughts, weighted as my focus is shifted.

A boat in rapid waters.
Unmoving.
Still.
Anchor untouched, in plain sight.
Stationary.

I turn my head to notice the atmosphere around me, changing.
Water stirring, shaking.
All the while, coal filled clouds surround me.

Fear creeps in, security unraveling. As the stint of questioning doubt passes through the very pair of eyes He created.

An outstretched hand in view as I turn to face the light from the pearl surrounded boat.
